ITINERARY

Day 1 - Iguassu Falls

Arrival in the Airport of Foz do Iguassu and transfer to your hotel. Rest of day free. 

Meals Included: none

Day 2 - Iguassu Falls

Tour to the Argentinean side of the falls. Entering the National Park, you will go on a short train ride and walk through the scenic forest, viewing different angles from the Iguassu upper falls, including the San Martin Falls. You will have a close look at the " Throat´s Devil", with it's amazing amount of water rushing down the fall. On the way back from the falls, tour stops at the Argentinean shopping district, and if weather and time allows, a brief stop at the 3-borders point, where Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay meet.

Optional Tours - In the afternoon, Itaipu Dam Tour. At night, Dinner and Latin Dancing Show at a typical brazilian barbecue restaurant.

Day 3 - Iguassu Falls

Tour to the Brazilian side of the falls, This tour shows the size and magnificence of the falls. Leaving your Hotel, you will enter the Iguassu National Park. Drive along the Cataratas Highway through the rainforest of the park to the falls, on the border of Brazil and Argentina where the Iguassu River drops into a giant horseshoe canyon. Descending a walkway, contemplate the lovely waterfalls in all of nature's exuberance, with panoramic views of both sides - Brazilian and Argentinean. Reaching the elevator, a descent into the Brazilian side lookout. Excellent for pictures of the falls.

Optional Tours -   You can combine the Brazilian side with a Boat ride to the Bottom of the Falls. This tour consists of an adventurous boat ride (in a big R.I.B). It takes you to the base of the falls (be prepared for a wet ride). An adventure not to be missed! 

Day 4 - Iguassu Falls /  Pantanal

Transfer to airport for flight to Cuiabá. Arrival at Cuiabá airport and transfer to Pantanal lowlands. While crossing the area, it is possible to spot and appreciate the local flora & fauna. Late afternoon hike through surrounding area to a 12 m observation tower and a spectacular view of sunset. After dinner, night tour to observe nocturnal environment.

Day 5 - Pantanal
Full day dedicated to observing the Pantanal’s flora & fauna. After breakfast, the guide will lead you on a 2 to 3 hour horseback ride through the pastures, woods and wetlands. Lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, the guide will lead you on a hike in a different area, allowing you to observe and learn more of the local environment.

Day 6 - Pantanal

After breakfast travel to the edge of Rio (river) Clarinho. Canoe tour to spot aquatic wildlife, birds and flora; possibility of piranha fishing. Brazilian churrasco style picnic lunch along the banks of the river. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 - Pantanal

Early morning hike to watch the sunrise. Breakfast. After breakfast hike or bike ride to visit the neighbour farm. A cattle ranch with over 12.000 hectares, traditionally rasing cattle over the last three generations in a balanced and sustainable manner. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon guided walk through the “Ronco do Bugiu” private reserve with a visit to the main house and a “guaraná “ drink following the local tradition. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8 - Pantanal / Cuiabá Airport

After breakfast, photo-safari along the Transpantaneira Road and return to the airport of Cuiabá.

Meals included in the program are detailed in the following chart.

Accommodation:

Double rooms can have separate beds or not. A third person depending on the hotel has the possibility of using a sofa bed. Consult for children policy.  

Payment:

Deposit of 30% to guarantee your reservation. The remaining amount must be paid a minimum 30 days before start of the tour. If reservation is made within 30 days of the tour full payment required to make a reservation.   

Cancellation:

Up to 30 days before the trip, there is a cancellation fee of 5%. If you cancel within 30 days of departure, the cancellation fee is of 30%.  In some cases (depending on Hotel chosen), no refund is given when a cancellation is made within 30 days.

Operation of tour: Minimum of 1 pax to operate. 

Responsability:

Brasil Travel / Melchior & Hodson Ltda and/or agencies involved with the packages, flights and tours shall act only as agents of the tour members in making arrangements for hotels and any other services and do not assume any liability what so ever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to persons or property due to an act of God, default by any hotel, company or person rendering any of services included on the tours or flights. Furthermore, no responsability is accepted for quarentine, government restrains, weather or other causes beyond control. No responsability is accepted for any additional expenses, omissions, delays, re-routing or acts of government authority.
