Description 

The towns of Bombinhas, Itapema, Porto Belo and Governador Celso Ramos, all situated in the North of Santa Catarina state, form the Emerald Coast. The area has paradisiac beaches with emerald green waters, small fishing villages and the Atlantic forest on the hills behind, forming a beautiful scenery.

The area is near the Marine Reserve of Arvoredo, islands situated off the coast with preserved forest and good diversity of marine life, which has made the Reserve the biggest diving destination of Southern Brazil.

The "Baia dos Golfinhos"- Dolphin Bay, nearby, also deserves a visit by boat, and it's almost guarantted to see these beautiful animals.

Activities

During the summer, the locations receive a big number of tourists, seeking the beaches and the practice of water sports such as snorkeling and scuba diving. Many boats offer regular trips to the Arvoredo Island. Trekking, relaxing at the beach and enjoying the night life during the summer are some other options.
