Gramado & Canela are two small towns situated in a mountainous area in the South of Brazil. The cold climate (sometimes it snows in the winter), beautiful surroundings, bavarian architecture, gastronomy and events such as the biggest Festival of Cinema in Brazil are the main attractions. The parks in the surrounding area have beautiful waterfalls.

Activities

Walks around the central area. The commerce is attractive, consisting mainly of chocolate, furniture and textile shops all made locally. 

During the Festival of Cinema (a week in August), July and Natal Luz (in dec/jan during Christmas time) it's interesting to visit Gramado and Canela, although restaurants, cafes and hotels are busy. Don't miss a visit to the main attractions and parks nearby. Treks, rafting and other sports are options for the more adventurer.

Weather               

From Canela or Gramado, you will be taken to a local farm, to go horseriding in the trails of forests and fields around the farm, in an ecological ride. Stop for a snack in the pier of Santa Cruz River.

Tour 2 - Horseriding Tour for begginers

From Canela or Gramado, you will be taken to a local farm, to go horseriding in the trails of the Atlantica Forest. Passing by a Sambaqui (ancient indigenous holes) and a field of country competitions. View of the Cascata do Caracol, an imponent waterfall, from a viewpoint. 

Duration: 1h 45 min. Minimum: 2 people. Included: transport, equipment, insurance, guide and snack.

Tour 3 - Horseriding Tour for the more adventurous

From Canela or Gramado, you will be taken to a horseride in the trails of the Atlantica Forest, passing through steep hills in spectacular places, going down the Lageana Valle and coming back in trails close to the Cascata do Caracol, an imponent waterfall 131 m high.

Duration: 8 hours. Minimum: 2 people. Included: transport, equipment, insurance, guide and lunch.

Tour 4 - Rafting in the River Paranhana - 4 km of Rapids

From Canela or Gramado, you will be taken to the river Paranhana, for a rafting adventure, going down 4 km of this river. The participants will be accompanied by an instructor to overcome the obstacles together.

Duration: 3 to 4 hours. (1h20 min in the river) Minimum: 2 people. Included: transport, equipment necessary (wetsuit available for rental), insurance and guide.

Tour 5- Rafting in the River Paranhana - 8 km of Rapids

From Canela ou Gramado, you will be taken to the river Paranhana, for a rafting adventure, going down 8 km of this river. The participants will be accompanied by an instructor to overcome the obstacles together.

Duration:  4 hours. Minimum: 4 people. Included: transport, equipment necessary (wetsuit available for rental), insurance and guide.

Full day tour starting in Canela or Gramado. You will be taken to the Park Serra Geral, to visit the incredible Fortaleza Canyon, the biggest in Latin America, about 8 km long, 2 km wide and over 1 km high. We will do some trails to see the beautiful Cascata do Tigre Preto- "The Black Tigger Fall" and the Pedra do Segredo- "The Secret Stone", a monolith 5 meters high balancing over a small stone. The park doesn't have any infra-structure or conforts such bathrooms.

Duration: 01 day. Minimum: 4 people. Included: transport from Gramado or Canela, equipments, insurance and guide. Period: May to September

Full day tour starting in Canela or Gramado. You will be taken to the Park Aparados da Serra, to visit the amazing Itaimbezinho Canyon, with the dimensions of 5,8 km long, 1 km wide and about 600 meters high, all this about 900 meters above sea level. We will walk following the park trails looking for different views and angles to admire this beautiful canyon. The park has infra-structure with snack bar, cultural area and bathrooms.
